It's a scary thought, and I think most people who aren't born into the internet generation have a hard time with it. Actually, everyone does. The concept of not being able to see your purchase before you buy it scares everyone. Plus, there is the whole shipping and handling aspect, but if you know where to look and know how to be a smart online shopper, the results can be very rewarding.
Research Your Resource
I know it sounds like I'm trying to turn you into an FBI detetive, but it's true! Find some feedback or get some opinions from other people before you buy from a particular seller. Some questions to consider asking are:
1. Was the seller helpful when problems arose?
2. Are the quality of the items good?
3. How about returned items? Did they gladly accept returns, or offer a no return policy? Do they pay for return shipping?
4. Are the seller's claims honest?
Regarding Ebay. Checking the seller's feedback is never a bad thing!
