Pretty! I like brocade. The blue color is really nice and it seems close to the color of the actual gown.

That's what I thought! I was so happy that the store had it, but they haven't had it since. Maybe I could request it? Can you do that?

I've never tried ordering a fabric before...but I think you can do it...I'm not 100% sure though.

No, I meant to ask if you could go into the store with a swatch of the fabric, and request if they could get some more. Is that possible?

Just found this on a site I've never seen:
http://www.onlinefabricstore.net/sale-fabric/covington-felice-blue-fabric-.htm

Doesn't look bad as a dyeing option at only $5/yard! It's all cotton as well!

Ooo... no, that's not bad at all! I wish it were silk, or something like that, though... but then that'd be more hard to dye, and more money out of the pocket. Thanks for the sharing the link!

Not saying it's THE ultimate fabric.... but it reminds me greatly of the Wishing fabric:

I've seen some Rococo costumes made of it, and the appearance is so similar to the Wishing fabric, in terms of stripes and floral pattern:

If dyed blue, I think it would be smashing...
