December 30, 2010 - I have discovered blogs and RSS feeds, which will help me immensely in updating this site! Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to spend manually writing up HTML and posting it, so I'm going to be exploring new mediums of updating. Meanwhile, I will be going through my images and trying to see if there are any that have no yet been uploaded! Stay tuned.
December 26, 2010 - Almost a year since I have last updated...wow! Good news: This website is not dead, and I don't plan on it ever dying. I've been looking around, and there aren't many phantom websites left for costumes, I can't let this one die! Bad news: I've been remiss inupdating and maintaing this website regularly since life is incredibly busy. As a result, I've lost my fancy toolbars (apparently they don't work in firefox and google chrome?) and most of my HTML skills. Hopefully during the summer I will be able to work up to them again! Truthfully, running this site is a full-time job between maintaining and updating, but I refuse to let it go. It will be updated occasionally, branching out from Phantom related items to other things that suit my interest, but rest assured that it is still alive! Thanks to everyone who has stuck with it, this site is for you.

Janury 4, 2010 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! Can you believe it's 2010?! Phantomess.com hit it's Fourth birthday on December 26. I consider it's birthday when it first received its domain. Anyway, I hope everyone's had a wonderful Christmas season and here's to a brand new year! And most definitely, a brand new year on Phantomess.com.
December 26,2009 - I can't believe it's been exactly a year since I updated. On the plus side, I have done some minor updating along the sight, but sadly, it has been neglected somewhat! School remains the ultimate challenge, but I love it, and have been thoroughly engrossed in many projects over the past year. Life has been extremely busy, but very, very, very rewarding. On another note, to all of phantomess's followers whether you be from the beginning or today, I found all of the ebay images I saved when the phantom costumes were being auctioned off. And yes - they did not get lost in the mayhem of my numerous computer crashes! (I'm pretty sure I've gone through four hard drives or something in the past year and a half?) So...that means I will be updated! As soon as I get Paint Shop Pro back, and figure out how to maniuplate Windows Vista - which I'm sorry to say, is NOT the best software Window's has ever invented. After working with Windows '97 since I can remember, I'm not too impressed with the functionality of Vista... More on that later. On to the updates.
December 26, 2008 - I won't even bother making an excuse. Straight to the point - I'm updating. The red death photos should be up today, and I'm going to fix some photos what stopped showing up and disappeared into cyberspace. I may go through the research pages and update the language. Some of it was written three years ago, and wow.... has my vocabulary altered! Merry Christmas! Or Happy Holidays if you don't celebrate Christmas! On a side note, my computer recently died, and I lost alot of images that I hadn't saved on the external drive. And it seems the Phantom websites have also disappeared.... And so begins the tedious process of trying to remember all that HTML...
June 8, 2008 - I guess I should stop giving excuses and get straight to the point. Well here's the good news: big updates will be happening on Phantomess.com! It's summertime, and I'm done with my worst year of school yet. Unfortunately, I have to do some tweaking on my brain so I can remember all the coding for this site, but I have my computer back! Albeit, my dad didn't replace it, but destroyed the major damage. Most of my files were saved, but unfortunately a few rare images are missing, and I can't find them on the net anymore. I will post pictures of my Cosette dress soon.... if only I knew where they were! Thanks everyone.
February 9, 2008 - Yes, I did indeed disappear for a long time! School has been absolute torture.... Plus a million other things going on all at the same time. I am happy to say that I've once again been motivated to work on the site! Though unfortunately, right when I was going to start up again, my computer died... and all my files went with it.... Yeah... BUT! I was saved because I happened to have just moved all my Phantomess.com files to an external drive!! So, no I have to resort everything... and free up some space on the drive... becuase I have so many photos! But unfortunately, I also lost alot of pictures. Personal ones, and phantom related ones too. I'm really hoping to get them back, but most of the sites I saved them off of have closed or shut down! If you have anything that might be valuable, please send them in! Thank you too everyone for your support, and hopefully i'll but updating more consistently soon!
August 30, 2007 - Dang... I haven't updated in a while... I finally realized that I have less than a week until school starts and that I should get a move on!!
Some updates though! Added a new affiliate! It's Phantom on a Budget!. I also did finish the Cosette gown, and am currently updating the Phantom's Red Death page. Perhaps I'll get around to finishing those long overdue writeups.... Well.. off to more summer reading... blah..
Thankfully - no major damage to the computer!! Initially, everyone said my files had been wiped, but it turns out they were saved!! God bless the F drive...
June 11, 2007 - I LIVE!! Man! It's been so long since I've actually been on here! Well, I survived WestsideStoryNazidirector rehearsals, and five million thesis papers all due in the same week. Two more days of school. I have finals today, tomorrow, wednesday, and then I'm done!! Alleluia!!
But yes - I actually did get a bunch of costume progress done, believe it or not.
A new project: Cosette's white gown from Les Mis when she meets Marius. We're going to see Les Mis as my sister's graduation present, and I had ot make another dress... I had to...Cosette.
The wishing gown - got a cape done, but no link to that since it's just boring text, no pictures.
The red victorian gown is finished! I just need to figure something out for the back because it's very boring... and plain.. but i love it anyways.
An important note about the forums: I made it private so only people who are registered and belong to the "Phantomess forum members" (something like that, don't remember exactly what I put) group can view or post. This is an attempt to defeat the robot posts until I can update and install some modifications which will hopefully stop the spam. So, if your registered and can't view or post, e-mail me about it, or join the group. Click "usergroups" at the top, and you should find it. Hopefully this arrangement is only temporary!
And yes one more thing: an actual clip of me singing...that's... okay. It's my gift for my sister, and I want to know what you guys think. Yeah, I know, uncontrollable vibrato (working on it...) weird high notes, and rather pitchy. My voice has been doing some weird things lately, and I haven't sung contemporary music in so long, but hopefully I didn't kill the song too much. March 25, 2007 - I live!! No, I have not disappeared off the face of the earth. Well, I did for a while. Just thought I should update you guys on some upcoming plans for the website. Easter/Spring break is coming up next week!! **LLELUJAH!!! I'm hoping to clean up this super messy layout and hopefully finish the Christine pages. There are a few more dead links floating around too, and I also have some random stuff to add. No, I have not been completely neglecting updates!!
And now a rather important issue that has come to my attention: Please do not Plagiarize. There is a copyright at the bottom of the main page which does say Design and Content - Copywrite Phantomess.com. So, which means, it does rightfully belong to me. I also worked pretty darn hard on this site too. While I do appreciate the fact that you may think my work is worthy of appearing on your site, please do not do so without asking for permission first. A few lines quoted from phantomess.com won't bother me as much, but copying a whole page without giving credit really bothers me.
Don't worry! I don't bite, I swear! I'm just asking that you request permission before you copy and paste something from here to your site.
Now that that issue is out of the way, I'd just like to say - my life has been reduced to words and numbers. Yes, school can be terribly boring at times. It keeps me away from ever being able to update here. Randomness, I know. But I'm really swamped with homework up to my eyeballs. As of now, I have till tomorrow to start and finish a minimum five page report on St. Joan of Arc. Are they trying to kill us??!! Darn the new writing SATS!!!!
A sad note: I don't know if I'll be able to start any more big costume projects. I guess I can only hope for the best. Dance and voice lessons have left me drowning in debt to my parents, and I still don't have a job to pay it all off. However, I did managed to get my Red Victorian Gown finished! It just really needs trimming because it's so plain.

December 30, 2006 - A bunch of random updates here and there! Let's see... a new guestbook image, a message about e-mails on the Contact page. I fixed up the Media Section, and finally started the Pattern Reviews! It's still a work in progress.
Also, for those of you who are working on the dressing gown, I started my "tips" page. There's a little guide for drafting your own chemise, and I'm working on the instructions to draft your own dressing gown. You can view it here and it is also accessible from the research page.
Also, I finally added a little section about Christine's shoes.
December 28, 2006 - Haha!! You weren't expecting that big of a change were you? Merry Christmas! Here's your present: Change in the layout! I promised I would update during winter break, right? :) How do you guys like it?
As of now, things are still in the moving proccess, and color schemes might not match, pages might be missing. I'm still uploading the new layout, so within a few minutes - we should have a nice new layout to mess around with! I'm also updating all those unfinished pages and trying to fix all the broken links. Don't worry, this isn't the end of my gift to you guys, I also have a few more things up my sleeve....

November 24, 2006 - Happy belated Thanksgiving to everyone!! Hope you guys all had fun eating your Thanksgiving meals. Don't forget about the thanksgiving part though, lol. Well, yesterday, I found some yarn laying around with my crochet needles and look what happened: An Attempt at Legwarmers.
Besides that, some of you may have noticed a slight change in the menu. I'll leave you guys up to the exploring. Just a few notes: I haven't forgotten about the dressing gown pattern! Also, if anyone has any good pictures of the Phantom's red death costume - please send them too me. All of mine seem to have gotten deleted, which I think was my fault this time.
October 21, 2006 - I am still alive - :). Just a few things to look for: 1. layout change in either the forum or the main site; 2. Since some people have asked about it, I'm putting together a guide that explains how I drafted my dressing gown. Hopefully it will help someone else, too! *sigh...* I'm sorry guys, but I have more studying for biology to do....
October 9, 2006 - Not much really to update. The Elissa Costume has a few more inspiration pics some people might find interesting, and my Silverado Corset and Victorian Natural Form Gown have some random tid bits in there.
School has been murder lately. Guess who's already tripped down the stairs twice!! Me! I don't know how much sewing I've been able to do because my Grandparents have come back to live with us, meaning all of my sewing stuff and my sewing machine which used to be in their room has been unceremoniusly thrown into the hallway. My room has no more room for any added mess, so I don't have a place to sew!! Has anyone ever sewn on the floor before?
Guess what!! My school's musical is "West Side Story!!!" I'm going to try out for Maria. People tell me that I'm the only one with the type of voice for Maria, but then again... our new theater teacher is weird and I have a feeling that she might give all the lead roles to the upperclassmen, and forget about the underclassmen. :(

September 8, 2006 - I know, I know.... Where the heck are the nice updates? One answer: school. Yay for being a newbie in upperclassmen classes!!! I'm still getting used to having my class schedule go: 2nd floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 1st floor, and I think you get the point.
My main priority now is school, so updates may be few, especially since I just started. I come home around 6:00pm every day exausted, and then not to mention the homework. Don't worry - Phantomess.com isn't going anywhere!! (Hopefully!) - that is if I can afford the web hosting this time...
Not much has really happened lately. I have actually gotton some type progress with my Victorian Gown. I have the skirt halfway done - does that count? :)

Also, you may notice the say box slowly disappearing from some pages. I've decided to leave it on the homepage only, since it's really of no use to anyone else. Also, it is the cause of those annoying popup boxes, which you cannot really close because of the floating tables I use.
August 19, 2006 - I added some more backstage photos to my Broadway experience of my Wishing Gown.
Just in case anyone is wondering, I did get rid of the "announcement" bar on the right side. No idea what to do with it, but I've got a few things in the planning stages.

August 17, 2006 - Some updates! At last! I added Brooke's description of the Hannibal Slave Girl Costume to Christine's research page. Also, I finally uploaded Meg's Masquerade Costume, complete with Brooke's description of the dress, the pictures she sent in, and some of the ebay auction phtotos.
August 11, 2006 - I added all of the pictures Jirina took of the young ballet girl's top which she won (lucky...) from the ebay auction!! She even made a pattern for it. Check it out here. There's a new "Ballet Girls" section added to the menu, if you haven't seen it yet. Enjoy! I still have the rest of Brooke's pictures to put up, and all of Leah's pictures of her hannibal cape. August 6, 2006 - Whilst wandering away on the internet, sulking becuase I can't find any materials to fit my budget, I ran into these pretties: Rhinestone Buttons. I know their not perfect, but some of them are an inch wide and could possibly be used for the hairpins for Christine's Think of Me Gown!.

Feedback is much appreciated - :) As this was a rather large layout chance, there is a big chance that there are a bunch of broken links lurking around... It's hard to catch them all by yourself. Also, the URL directory has been changed for some pages. For example, all of christine's costume research pages are now under "phantomess.com/christine/*costumehere*." The same with the phantom, the phansection, and my costumes. So if you posted a direct link on another website somewhere, the URL needs to be changed to the new URL.

July 22, 2006 - Updates on this website may be missing for a while because of the weather. Yes, the weather! It takes us about two hours to get anywhere in all of this rain. On top of that, flooding, mudsides, car accidents, etc, have caused huge, major power outages where I live. It's a miracle that my house still has electricity when all the surrounding areas don't! So, if this website suddenly disappears or if I disappear, don't get too alarmed, lol. : / Well, since no one visits here, it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

I caved in and have started another project. My Twisted Every Way Gown is definitely on hold for now. The expense is way too much, especially since I want to make it out of real silk dupioni. July 12, 2006 - I really hate having a sore throat, I can't sing at all... To make me even more depressed, I just found out that I have to have surgery on part of my eyes. What better way to start your day... Blah, ranting, must stop.
On a higher note, write-ups for the rest of the dressing gown are currently on their way! As well as pattern suggestions for all of Christine's costumes. I'm also in the process of fixing broken images and links because I really do hate to see "page does not exist."
To clear up a few things, I have recieved a few e-mails asking if I'll ever do research on the stage costume. I've done research for my own stage costume reproductions (did i mention that I'm planning on making the the ballet dancers hannibal outfit in the musical production?) But have never really dedicated a section to it because there are such wonderful websites, like Anea's here which have already been started. Perhaps one day I shall throw myself into even more trouble and chaos, but that day isn't in the very near future. Thanks for the support though!

June 24, 2006 - Wishing gown progress is going well! I only have a few things left to do, and I can all sew them by hand in the car during vacation! I have a sad announcement:
I'm going to be on vacation for the next two weeks until July 10. Unfortunately, unless I can manage to access internet from across the country in the middle of nowhere, I won't be able to update at all. If you do hear any updates, it will be from Sumalee in the Forum. Sumalee is currently taking charge of this site for the period of time that I will be gone. I can still receive e-mails, and there is a chance that I will be able to check them, but you can never be sure. I hate to leave Phantomess.com alone for such a long period of time, but I have no choice! Love and miss you all!

People came to fix our phoneline yesterday, and guess what, they screwed up the internet connection!
So now, my phone doesn't work. On top of that, the internet does work, but it is really slow. It takes about five minutes to load a page, and sometimes pages don't load. (I'm spoiled by high-speed internet).
I had alot to update yesterday, and it was really hard to upload anything because the computer was functioning so slowly.
Updates might be a bit scarce this week, because of the internet and it's the last week of school for me! I promise to do by best. This means more trips to the library....
I'm updating this from school, so I can't get much done without the firewall telling the teacher that I'm on a "bad" site when I really it's just my website. Ergh...technology, love and hate it, can't live without it...

At last! The hectic week is over!
I'm sorry for lack of updates, but my schedule has been killing me! We finally had our two performance of "Into the Woods Jr." and I must say, they were successful! Alright, so we're only little kids who aren't professionals, but hey, for a school that has to work with what they have, it was pretty cute. (Especially our poor special effects when Little Red gets "eaten" by the wolf...) I'll have pictures of the cast up soon enough...
Besides that, I'm planning a surprise! I can't wait to see how it will turn out, but I guess I'll tell you anyways... A forum! I'm creating a forum! A full blown forum! Yeah...you guys don't look too excited. Well, I'd really appreciate any input you'd be willing to share with me on this and what you think. Thanks for all the support guys!
I'm setting goals for myself now - I'm so sorry that I haven't updated Christine's Costume Section But graduation is draining the life out of me! Feeling Very - very - overwhelmed...
You know, I should be doing that six page Thesis essay on Robert Louis Stevenson, but I got a little caught up in updating! Well, little updates, nothing major at the moment. I've been drained from rehearsals for "Into the Woods." Opening night this Wednesday, and boy are we totally not ready... It is not easy to do a show with a low budget and fourth through eight graders! I did however, mostly complete my Baker's Wife outfit!
Well, I just have to hem it, that's all... I still, haven't started Cindrella's bodice! AAHH!!! Did I mention that I have two final exams on monday morning, as well as a dress rehearsal in the morning and afternoon, then practice again after school? About the Media Section...
I'm terribly sorry about not updating this section... It's just that I've been so busy with all of the costumes that I often neglect this! When my muse and imagination come into effect, something new might pop uphere! But for now, I'm moving my sewing related articles here!
May 12, 2006 - Updated the Costumes section! Brooke also sent me all of the hi-res images of Meg's Masquerade gown! I can't wait to post them! I will - soon, I promise, but I'm absoltuely booked this weekend. I have to finish my costume and Cinderella's costume by Monday and study for a final exam! EEK!
May 7, 2006 - Planning a new project! The deal goes - if I sell/get rid of one of my costumes and get Valedictorian (how do you spell it?) then my dad will let me make another costume! So - I've decided so far - that I want to make Christine's Twisted Every Way Outfit. If you have any info you'd like to submit - don't hesitate.

(Right - like I was really studying - ;) But Brooke on Phantom Costumes on the Yahoo Forum sent me the images of one of the Hannibal Slave Outfits she had won from the auction! (So jealous!) I'm working on putting them up right now, I swear! I really owe her alot for sending me the pics.

April 16, 2006 - Added more pictures to the Christine's Think of Me Page. Working up a new banner, and maybe a new color scheme if I can find the time to do all of it! I've been sick lately, and trying to rest my voice for upcoming performances...but school has been wearing me out! I have Easter Break this week - so expect long healthy updates! UP next - finish that darn think of me gown writeup!
April 9, 2006 - I've been sick lately, so I haven't been able to update. Keeping my grades up to standard for this marking period is draining out energy too. Too many projects for literature! I don't think I want to think of Romeo and Juliet ever again... Well, on the brightside - I have been updating dabbles here and there! I mostly started the write-up for Christine's Think of Me Gown and did a bit of Phantom section updates too!
April 1, 2006 - I have not been idle! I've been updating things here and there, every now and then. I just have to upload all of it first. As soon as I can get my DVD player on this thing to work - I promise you screencaps!

March 15, 2006 - Whew...school has been really busy lately! Well, I updated the Christine Research pages... Well, I fixed most of the images, I just have to get the final set of thumbnails in, and then I can start the costume wrtieups! Yay!
February 25, 2006 - I really should get a different table and archives for this thing...eh, I'll work on that later. I'm currently putting up all the image, and my goal is to have all of that done today! Yay! I've done the All I Ask of You and Christine's Masquerade Gown. Have fun! Writeup coming! I promise!

Well, I added the Christine's Don Juan Gallery Pictures I'm going to load all of the pictures before I start the rest first, because to save you guys with slower computers, I'm making thumbnails. February 11, 2006 - I can't breath! I can't breath! I FINALLY WENT TO SEE PHANTOM! It was amazing and guess what else happened! - Well, I won't say anything until I can get the pictures onto my computer!!!
Besides that, I've been working hard on the Research Page. I have added another section to the Link Page too! I'm on a roll now! And yes, I did finish my wishing gown...you'll have to wait to see it though.
February 5, 2006 - Alright! The basic muslin is finished! Rejoice! Everyone - rejoice! I dyed my fabric yesterday too - and it looks beautiful. Not the exact deep blue I wanted, but It's better than nothing. Updated my Wishing Gown Page!
February 3, 2006 - Everybody scream!! Rejoice! Allelujah! This girl has finally put up all the images she has for her research! I'm currently in the process of posting the images, but don't worry, the research/review write-ups are on the way! Just...bear with me... For those of you who care, Christine's Think of Me Gown Research Page is the first to have it's lovely images posted!! YAY!
January 31, 2006 - *Listens to the angels sing "Hallelujah Chorus" - Can it be? Did I update on a weekday! Yes! Finally! I am publishing my current research papers, figuring that giving you something is better than nothing. I am just working on Christine for now, because she is the most sought after costume character by costumaholics. Just be prepared for some stuff to be uploaded soon.

January 22, 2006 - Aren't you proud! Two updates in a row! Finally completed my Victorian Underwear!. Also updated a teeny tiny paragraph in my Think of Me Gown making section. Have started saving images to write up all of the research pages! It's coming guys, just might have to wait. Any contributions are welcome, and you'll be credited.
January 21, 2006 - I've really been working hard on this! Updated the Link Section and my Wishing Gown Page! Yes, I've started my wishing gown. I do hope I finish the costume before I get to see the show...
January 4, 2006 - Wow, I've been really bad with updates... HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Well, I got a webhost for Christmas, (I had to pay for half of it, but let's not talk about that...:) And so here it is - Phantomess.com - full blown with it's own domain and everything. Even a new layout because I was so excited!
I have a bunch of updates for you all. First, a new layout. Second, I have added a costume research page. It is still in the writing process, so bear with me. If you have anything to contribute, I will gladly put it here on the site. Yes, you will be credited for any info you donate. I have pictures of my Dressing Gown up in the costume section. The rest of it is still being written out. I have a few Christine research pages underway, several banners, tutorials, and a few random things that you'll find in the Media section. I know that some of the links will lead you to the same page, and that's because I haven't put an "under construction" notice on it - or it hasn't been built yet. Sorry about that...but having a webhost where you need to upload pages seperately is way different than Freewebs Where you edited it right on the spot. Thanks for all of the support! Love you all!

November 24, 2005 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I finally got the internet back... I hope you guys are having a great time on Turkey Day. Well, I added one link into the link section.
November 21, 2005 - I am a very bad person...But hey! New layout! More info on the way now that I have time to update during thanksgiving! It will be better! I promise! I have finished my Halloween costume.. (well..a bit obvious, i know...) and as soon as i finish remaking the corset, I will have pictures up for you guys in no time. Well, you may have to wait a bit. I am adding onto the rest of the sections now that I have figured out Paint Shop Pro. The only thing on hold for a bit will be the costumes section. I hope you enjoy the new layout! Comments are always welcome, and I will reply to anything you'd like to know.

August 29, 2005 - In the process of working on and buiding the pages, especially the costume page. I'm starting a new project! That's right. My Halloween costume is going to be(so long as the price doesn't shoot through the roof) Christine's Wedding Dress from Phantom of the Opera. I still have to update the page, but here is the page where my "making of" page will be. More later!
August 12, 2005 - Just a few updates. Wishing Gown Research Page has been officially started. Mind you, it's still in the process of building. If only my stupid camera was working, I'd post pictures of my "Think of Me" gown in the making. Well actually, all I have are the underpinnings I'm still waiting for someone to give me a ride to rag shop so I can get some cheap polyester satin on sale for 1.99. And I might get the Simplicity POTO pattern even though it's not exactly christine's dress. I would update the media, but I need my camera to be working! I had a few clips of me singing that I wanted to put up, but hey, my camera isn't working! I'm working on more banners, I swear. As if anyone actually looks at it though. The link section ought to be updated, misc. section, I have a few HTML tutorials getting ready. Fan section? Forget about it. I don't have anything since my old site got deleted...Guestbook has been set up, and I have to update the "site" section...
